This widget is exactly what I need — clean and simple — except I’d rather have it cycle through the titles of my recent posts. Any way to combine function of Post Title Marquee Scroll with style of this plugin? Thanks!

I would love to add this one, but it had a conflict with my banners and theme, that half my site not showed after activating this plugin :-(.

i already fixed the JS conflict issue by using “enq_script” in wp hook, if still any JS conflict, remove the Jquery from this plugin and activate.

I am also wondering if the wording ” Annoucement” can be changed to something that is more relevant to how I am using the widget? Otherwise nice work…

    Hi there Gopi,

I have just upgraded to latest version of the plugin with the latest version of WP.
I have replaced the old shortcode with the new one and nothing is showing at all.

It seems to recognise that it is there because if I use the old shortcode, the text is visible on the page.

    What to do?

    Thanks

    George

To get random in file wp-cycle-text-announcement.php
line 63 must be: timeout: ,
      add line 64: random: 1

That’s all, random is working, now!

Hi. This plugin is exactly what I’m looking, but the texts are not scrolling.

If I insert the code () into the template page, it displays the 2 texts (which are set to setting 1) one below each other on the page, but nothing scrolls, it is static.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Great plugin and EXACTLY what I needed. Same question as others though, on HOW to change the title of ‘ANNOUNCEMENT’ in the widget area to something else. This would seem to be a simple change but I’m missing it somewhere and driving me crazy to find it.

    Hi everyone,

you can change the widget-title in the database.
Search the database for “announcement”. It is in the table wp_options.
Than replace “announcement” with your title.
